Chemeketa Library Staff Profile: Kathleen

Kathleen has been at Chemeketa's reference desk since the Permian period, and may be the world's only talking, fossilized librarian.

She enjoys helping students to find and use library materials for their assignments, especially when they come like the Queen of Sheba, to prove her with hard questions. Helping members of the public and teaching classes how to use the library are a plus.

Kathleen attended graduate school at Rutgers University. She doesn't miss New Jersey, except the food.*

Favorite Mellophone: Update - Favorite Mellophone is now marching Troopers, a World-Class corps that made it to DCI finals last year. Congratulations, Troop!

Favorite Gadget: My Kindle -- a fantasy brought to life. All the books you could possibly want, in a tablet that's about the size of a paperback book.

*real pizza, canolli (with chips, not fruit), spanakopita, cheese blintzes, hamentaschen (prune), sausage and pepper sandwiches...sigh! Did I mention hot pastrami sandwiches (on REAL RYE BREAD and not microwaved)?
