These resources are available to anyone on campus. They are also available off campus to Chemeketa students and employees. Resources that are available to anyone, anywhere, are marked with a "world" symbol.

OneLook Browse dictionaries Look in many web dictionaries at the same time
Oxford English Dictionary The big one. A great place to investigate the history of a word.
Oxford Reference Online: Premium Edition Search over 100 dictionaries at the same time, search in individual dictionaries, or search by subject area. Includes thesauruses, dictionaries of English, bilingual dictionaries, and many specialized subject dictionaries.
Acronyms, Initialisms, and Abbreviations Dictionary Look up those mysterious abbreviations and acronyms.
The Acronym Server Search for an acronym and see its expansion or search for a word in the expansions and view related acronyms.
Use the Library Search to look for more specialized dictionaries online. Type a word or phrase describing the subject, followed by "dictionary", for example,
Limit your result to electronic books by selecting the eBooks resource type under Refine My Results.
To access online resources from off campus you will need a your My Chemeketa user name and password; host provider students may obtain a login from the instructor or librarian.
