Comparing periodicals and special encyclopedias
Each numbered group below has two periodical articles and one subject encyclopedia article. Look at the first two articles (A and B) in the group you have been assigned. It is not necessary to read the whole article. How are the articles different? How are they the same? What is your impression of each article? Jot down your findings
Next, look at the encyclopedia article (C). How does the content differ from the magazine and journal you have examined? How might a subject encyclopedia be useful? Again, make a few notes on your findings to discuss with the class.
