Printing System at Chemeketa

Printing in the library works through the PaperCut system. Payment for all printing and copying must be made through use of a Chemeketa ID card or a printing card purchased at the Circulation Desk. Wireless printing is available.

General Printing and Copying Information

  • Prints or photocopies cost $.05 each
  • Payment is via a card swipe system
  • System uses a Chemeketa ID card or printing card
  • Printing cards can be purchased at the Library Circulation Desk for $1
  • You must add credit to your account before releasing the print job.
  • You can sent a print job from home; print jobs are kept in the queue for 20 hours. See Wireless printing.

Adding Credit To Your Account

In the Library

There is a PaperCut station in the library where visitors may use cash (Salem or Yamhhill campus) or a credit/ATM card (Salem campus only) to put printing credit on a Chemeketa ID card or on a printing card purchased for $1 at the Circulation Desk.

Online

Chemeketa students and employees can log into the printing software at any time and use a credit card or ATM card to put money on a Chemeketa ID card.

  1. Go to http://printcenter.chemeketa.edu/. Use your My Chemeketa user name and password to log in.
  2. Click Add Credit in the menu.
  3. Choose an amount to add. Click the Continue button
  4. Enter a card number and expiration date and click Pay Now.

Printing on Chemeketa computers 

  1. When you print from a library or tutoring computer, you will be asked for your login (My Chemeketa user name and password).
  2. A popup message will appear to tell you that your print job is "Held in a queue."
  3. You may go pick it up in the Library Copy Room (9/214) or in the Tutoring Center (2/210).
  4. Swipe your card on the printer unit.
  5. Your print job will display on the control pad. Choose and print.

Wireless Printing 

Only files in PDF format can be printed on the wireless network. Documents in Word, Excel, Google communication tools, or PowerPoint must be saved as PDFs first. Other types of files can be converted using free browser plug-ins or free software. bullet point Saving/conversion to PDF help.

  1. Go to http://printcenter.chemeketa.edu/. Use your My Chemeketa user name and password to log in.
  2. Choose Web Print from the menu.
  3. Click Submit a Job on the Web Print screen.
  4. There is only one printer enabled for wireless printing, so you don't have to choose; click 2.Print Options And Account Selection.
  5. Click Upload Documents.
  6. Use the Browse to find the document you want to print,
  7. Click Upload and Complete.
  8. Your print job will be listed with the status, "Held in a queue." You may go pick it up in the Library Copy Room (9/214) or in the Tutoring Center (2/210).
  9. Swipe your card on the printer unit.
  10. Your print job will display on the control pad. Choose and print.
