The library has adaptive equipment that is coordinated through the Student Accessibility Services Office
Services for students with disabilities at Chemeketa are coordinated through the Student Accessibility Services office.
The Library (Building 9, Salem campus) offers carrels and workstations adjusted to a height which accommodates most wheelchairs. Some "extra-high" stations are available. The Library Instruction Room has adjustable keyboard trays.

What computer accomodations are available for adaptive use?
Computer resources for library users with visual or motor impairments include
- Computers with Dragon Naturally Speaking for voice input,
- Computers with Jaws For Windows for voice output
- Trackballs (available at the Circulation Desk)
This equipment, in Salem Campus library rooms 224, is reserved through the circulation desk (503.399.5043). Use of these machines requires an accommodation letter, stating a need for assistive technology, from the Chemeketa Student Accessibility Services office. Do you have enlarging equipment for the visually impaired?
A machine for enlarging the text of printed material for reading is available in the library on the Salem campus. (No accommodation letter is required.)
