Services for Borrowers
Chemeketa students & employees, as well as members of the public, can borrow materials from our library
You can use either a Chemeketa ID card, a Chemeketa Virtual ID, or a CCRLS Partners Card to check out materials. (Instructions for obtaining Virtual ID) Students from colleges and universities in the Orbis Cascade Alliance (Summit libraries) may borrow materials at Chemeketa by registering as a visiting patron.
Chemeketa participates in the Oregon Library Passport program. Patrons from Passport libraries may obtain a card at Chemeketa to check out ten items at a time. Passport borrowers must return the books at Chemeketa's library.
Length of checkout:
- Books - 4 weeks
- Magazines & journals - 1 week
- Circulating media - 4 weeks
- Laptops - 1 term
- College Lending textbooks - 1 term
You may renew material up to two times if no one else has requested it:

Library Fines:
- $0.25 per day for late returns of books, magazines, and media (including Reserves, CCRLS Bridge, ILL and Summit)
- $0.25 per hour for 2 and 4 hour checkout
Additional Fees:
- $5 fee once item rolls to lost- Lending Library and Class Sets
- $5 fee once item rolls to lost- Netbook/Laptop/Chromebook and Computer Equipment
- $5 fee once item rolls to lost- all other lost items
