A variety of equipment can be checked out or used onsite.

Salem Campus: Short/Long Term Loan Equipment

  • Chromebooks and Laptops

    Devices available:

    • Chromebooks: Google based: 1-term checkout
    • Netbooks: Windows based: 1-term checkout

    Checkout conditions:

    • A device specific user agreement must be completed each school year
    • Renewable upon successful registration for the next successive term
    • Mice and external drives are available to checkout in conjunction with these items

    Drawing tablets are a useful tool for:

    • An alternative to drawing with a mouse

    Calculators available:

    • TI-83 Plus: 4-hour checkout and 24-hour checkout
    • TI-84 Plus: 4-hour checkout
    • TI-86: 4-hour checkout

    • Renewable, if no holds are on the item

    Hotspots available:

    • White board (dry erase board): 4-hour checkout

    Zoom Kits: 4-hour checkout and 1-term checkout

Salem Campus: In-Library Services

  • Cell Phone Charging Station

    The Salem Campus Library has a cell phone charging station  for student use. It is located at the end of the Express section of computers near the seating area. Bilingual instructions/rules are posted on the Station's built in kiosk screen.

  • Copiers and Printers
    • Available in the Library at the Print Center
    • Two black and white photocopiers
    • Three black and white printers
    • Cost: $0.05 per page
    • Payment Methods: coins, bills, or credit card
    • Login uses your My Chemeketa Credentials or Student ID card

  • Scanners
    • Scanners are available in the Student Computer Center

  • Study Rooms

    Reserve a study room in the library.  

    • Electrical outlets are available for plugging in laptops or other technology
    • Food and drinks are allowed, but please leave rooms clean and trash-free
    • Study rooms are not soundproof, so please be considerate
    • Individual or group study
    • Reservations expire after 15 minutes
  • Technology rooms
    • Four of the library's study rooms on Salem campus are tech-equipped.  Two are in the Social Zone and two are in the Study Zone
    • Equipment available includes:
      • Computer
      • Large Monitor
    • Keyboard, mouse, and remote are kept at the circulation desk and will be given to you when you check in
    • This room is open only to Chemeketa students or employees.
    • For reservations, please use Book A Study Room; in registering check the box for "Technology preferred"

      • Preparing for or practicing presentations
